01Booking & SeatsHow does seat selection and the 10-minute seat hold work?+
When you choose a departure on the Book a Trip page, the system displays the actual seat layout for the assigned vehicle. Selecting a seat holds it for 10 minutes so no other passenger can book it while you complete checkout.
02Booking & SeatsHow many seats are on each Byne’s bus?+
Each vehicle has its own seat map, configured for its passenger capacity. The fleet includes commuter and intercounty coach layouts, with some seats reserved for onboard safety equipment.
03PaymentsWhich payment methods are supported for Liberia bookings?+
Liberia bookings support Lonestar Cell MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money Liberia, station counter cash receipts recorded by an authorised booking agent, and secure card checkout. Bookings are confirmed after payment is verified.
04PaymentsAre fares charged in Liberian Dollars (LRD) or US Dollars (USD)?+
Fares on Liberia corridors are published in Liberian Dollars (LRD) alongside indicative USD equivalents. The full fare and service fee breakdown is displayed before checkout.
05Luggage & BoardingWhen should I arrive at the terminal before departure?+
Arrive at least 25 to 35 minutes before scheduled departure for baggage weighing and manifest validation. Present your digital QR ticket or BYN booking reference at the boarding gate.
06Luggage & BoardingWhat if my phone battery dies before boarding?+
Station boarding staff can validate your ticket using your booking reference (e.g., BYN-7K4P2Q) and ID.
07Policies & MarketsCan I cancel a confirmed booking and request a refund?+
Yes. Visit the Manage Booking page, verify your booking using your reference and email or phone, and submit a cancellation request. Cancellations made 24+ hours prior to departure qualify for a 90% refund; trips cancelled by Byne’s qualify for a 100% refund.
08Policies & MarketsDoes Byne’s offer live GPS bus tracking?+
Live GPS tracking is not currently available. Our Operations team publishes trip status updates and corridor service notices.
09Policies & MarketsIs Australia open for domestic bus ticket bookings?+
Byne’s maintains headquarters in both Monrovia, Liberia and Canberra, Australia. Liberia is currently the active booking market; Australian domestic bookings will open when routes, permits and payment services are available.
